Safety is the most important part of any lift. Whether you are buying a new elevator or upgrading an old one, make sure these seven features are included. At AK Rise Elevator, they are part of our standard approach.
1. Automatic Rescue Device (ARD)
During a power cut, ARD moves the cabin to the nearest floor and opens the doors, so passengers are never trapped.
2. Overspeed Governor & Safety Gear
If the cabin moves faster than its rated speed, the governor triggers the safety gear, which grips the guide rails and stops the car.
3. Multi-Beam Door Light Curtain
Infrared beams across the door opening detect people or objects and stop the doors from closing on them.
4. VVVF Drive with Accurate Levelling
Variable-voltage variable-frequency drives give smooth acceleration and precise floor levelling, reducing trip hazards.
5. Emergency Alarm & Intercom
Passengers can call for help instantly from inside the cabin.
6. Buffers in the Pit
Spring or oil buffers absorb energy if the cabin travels beyond its normal limit.
7. Overload Sensor
The lift will not move if the load exceeds capacity, protecting the machine and passengers.
